Did Mcqueen Really Call Prince Charles a C*nt?

Location: Royal Insult

Alexander Mcqueen was as infamous for his outlandish, couture fashion designs as he was for his rebellious personality. While working as an apprentice for the Gieves and Hawk company in London, Mcqueen allegedly wrote "I am a C*nt" in the lining of a jacket designed for Prince Charles. If he were alive today, I'm sure that he would be a little shocked that even after his jagged history with the Royals, he was still influential in the wedding dress design for the new daughter-in-law of Prince Charles. I love when the bad boys win in the end!

The Dress - The Other Star of the Royal Wedding

Location: The Royal Wedding

No Royal Wedding would be complete without absolute pomp, pageantry and fanfare from the Royals! The Royals have had hundreds of years in practice for preparing their nuptuals and they have used a few strategies to keep the public hanging on every aspect of the event. Everyone wanted to know who Kate would be wearing when she walked down the aisle at Westminster Abbey and after months of tight secrecy, we finally got to find out today. None other than British Fashion Royalty Sarah Burton of Alexander McQueen could design the flawlessly made ivory wedding dress. Kate wore the dress well and she showed off the right amount of skin proving that she wanted to adhere to tradition but still show her sex appeal. There's no doubt that Queeny had the final word on the dress but hats off to Sarah Burton who ensured that the lace applique was hand done by tailors who had to wash their hand every three hours! I'm a huge Mcqueen fan and I'm sad that he couldn't be around to see his work inspire and be a part of history but I'm sure that wherever he is, he will definitely get a kick out of being the rebel that allegedly dissed Prince Charles and still managed play a huge role in his sons wedding.

It's Official - Will and Kate are Married!

Location: The Royal Wedding

The world celebrated the Royal Wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge today and it will definitely be remembered as one of the most watched weddings in history. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge (formerly William and Kate) had 1,900 guests including huge Brit celebrities Elton John, his husband David Furnish and the sexiest of them all, David and Victoria Beckham. The Duke and Duchess might be two of the most opulent people in the world but they were still down to earth enough to invite Kate's butcher, postman and local Bucklebury shopkeepers, Chan and Hash Shingadiam. The event was as ostentatious as it was touching and I'm not afraid to admit that when I first saw the Duchess looking gorgeous in her perfectly tailored wedding dress I got goosebumps! The Duchess was absolutely stunning and the love between her and the Duke was as clear and bright as the Queen's trade mark yellow suit. The Duke looked great too in his military garb and I'm actually happy he got to wear a hat. It's too bad that Beyonce and Jay-Z may not get to perform at the reception because that would have been the icing on the wedding cake. See more pics of the Royal Wedding and inside Buckingham Palace at the official Royal Wedding site.

And Now For Satire - News Reporter Looks Just Like Rape Suspect

Location: WTF

As a black person, I know that not all black people look alike but the reporter in this video looks very much like the rape suspect in this clip. Yes, it's sad that the news is featuring yet another black male criminal but on the other hand comedy is comedy.

Beyonce and Jay Z Performance at the Royal Wedding?

Location: Royal Wedding

Last week MTV Canada asked me who I would like to see perform at the Royal Wedding, I told them that I wanted to see Rihanna or any rapper with the name Lil' hit the stage just to shake up the Queen a bit. I highly doubt that Rihanna will be performing at the Royal Wedding but it looks like two of my other favourite artists Jay-Z and Beyonce might be lucky guest performers. A source close to William and Kate told the Daily Post that the soon to be Royal couple are huge fans of Beyonce and Jay-Z and they would love to have them perform at their reception. The Palace a.k.a Queen Mother hasn't confirmed whether the rumors are true but I really hope they are. Seeing Beyonce do the dutty wine while Jay-Z fake taps her booty would be the highlight of the whole shindig for me.

HnM Inclusive Collection - For my Fluffy Girls

Location: It's About Time

HnM recently released the "Inclusive" line for ladies sizes 32-45 (EU). I'm a believer in beauty coming in many packages so congratulations to realizing that women come in sizes past 8. The Inclusive Collection features 50 different styles which are reminiscent of 50's fashion. The only downside is that you have to order the collection online from Austria, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Holland, Norway, Sweden or the UK. I guess it's a step in an 'inclusive' direction for HnM but they are making fuller figured ladies in North America (who probably need it the most) swim across the ocean for their goodies. I never really viewed Eastern Europe as a fluffy side of the world but I suppose HnM has to start somewhere. Keep it up HnM!

Speaking of 'Carnal Art' - Orlan

Location: Lady Gaga's Inspiration

When you think of bad or excessive plastic surgery you think of celebs like Joan Rivers and Bruce Jenner. Now, I've added someone else to my celebrity lexicon of bad "work". Orlan is a contemporary artists who first gained recognition in the 60's with her rule bending 'carnal art'. Trust, me, this goes way past rolling in an egg to The Grammy's or wearing a meat suit. When you widen your brow to look like the Mona Lisa, mutilate your body not for beauty but for art, implant horns under your scull, then decorate those said mounds with glitter, you are hard core! Orlan's work has inspired many, most recently, Lady Gaga who said she was thinking about getting horn implants. Nina Arsenault is also a huge Orlan fan. She is a Toronto 'T-Girl" (male to female transexual) who has had several plastic surgeries in the name of beauty and art. I love Nina because there is something vulnerable about her striking appearance and work. You may not like Orlan's look but you have to respect her dedication to her art.

Should You Smoke Weed?

Location: Weedville

If you're giggling already, or have the munchies, then chances are you have answered this question for yourself maybe several times today. Weed culture is something that most people think they know about but there are still a ton of weed myths and facts floating around. I loved this short film because it's a really candid, hilarious look at what weed can really do to the body. The film shows forty something journalist and relative weed virgin Nicky Taylor who takes a "self sacrificing" look at weed by going to Amsterdam (where else) and blazing. Do you really concentrate more when you're high? Are you a better driver? Can you go crazy from weed? You'll be surprised what you find out. If you like Ab Fab and Marijuana watch this!

'Mykita' Shade Fatale

Location: Your Face

Remember when you were a little kid watching Sci-Fi movies and you would see people talking to other people via screens on their watches? Remember when you thought that would happen in like 1,000 years right about the time when flying cars were old school? Well, the future is here kids and we're wearing it on our faces thanks to Mykita shades! If you're like me, you LOVE great sunglasses and the crafty people at Mykita have come up with their own material called 'Mylon' which is both durable and daring! If you're the Lady Gaga, Amber Rose or Will I Am type you could definitely rock these shades. These shades are cool for now but they could be an example of BFF (Bad Futuristic Forecast). It's kind of like when you watch 80's movies like Blade Runner today and you ask yourself, "Did they really think we'd be walking around in moon suits by 2001?".

Third Year Anniversary of The Vogue 'Black Issue'

Location: Fashion Industry

It's been almost 3 years since Vogue magazine released 'The Black Issue' featuring four of the industries top black models (Naomi, Liya, Sessilee and Jordan). The issue was created to combat the accusations of racism in the fashion industry. There has been an increase in ebony beauties gracing fashion mags and runways but has it been significant enough to prove that the fashion industry is diversifying? What do you think?

Will and Kate Plus Kanye - Kanye's Royal Wedding Invite

Location: Nananana

Why so serious Yeezy? I know you're bummed that President Barak Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama were unfortunately snubbed by Will and Kate but at least you're going to partake in the Royal nuptials. Its nice to see that Celebrity can get you anything, even a Royal Wedding Invite despite being viewed as one of the most obnoxious hip-hop artist in the game. You can be sure to expect some rhymes from Kanye indicating that he's more famous than the president. If you want to see who else made the list check this links.

Guu - Its Not What you Think!

Location: Bloor and Bathurst

Guu - Izakaya Japanese Bar is one of Toronto's newest and most fun Sake bars that definitely makes you feel like part of the very enthusiastic, amped up family! I wondered into this place and didn't think much of the long, grey hall way but as soon as I entered the dinning area, I was greeted with loud (yet surprisingly welcoming) screams in Japanese from the entire staff. After feeling like a walking "I'm Famous in Japan" t-shirt, we sat down to have the most amazing food and sake I've had in Toronto. The tuna was like butta and everything else was beautiful to look at and delicious to eat! I highly recommend going to Guu!
